  • Ryan Slater

    PRESIDENT/MANAGING DIRECTOR

    After 20 years in commercial real estate partnering with incredible clients and colleagues at two of the largest global brokerage firms—Ryan is proud to announce the launch of Slater Commercial, Inc.
    Ryan is a 3rd-generation San Jose native, and with his grandfather and father starting their real estate practice in San Jose in 1946, a 3rd Generation Real Estate Broker, totaling 73 years of real estate brokerage in the Silicon Valley.
    Prior to Slater Commercial, Inc., Ryan was Vice President at Colliers International where he was chosen as the company’s Silicon Valley Rookie of the Year, earned Colliers’ 90/10 President’s Club membership and Colliers’ Platinum Club membership year after year and was voted the company’s 2014 Team Player of the Year.  Ryan then became a Principal with Avison Young, helping open the Silicon Valley Office where he remained until the launch of Slater Commercial, Inc.  
    This move is not about leaving something behind, but about building something new. Ryan has stated, “I am truly grateful for my time at Colliers International and Avison Young—those years helped shape the professional I am today. The decision to launch Slater Commercial comes from a desire to return to what I believe is the core of great real estate service: trusted relationships, custom strategies, and long-term client success.”
    Slater is a member of the Discovery Bay Golf and Country Club, an ASA Certified Sailor, a husband and a proud father of three. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Economics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis and an Associate of Arts degree from West Valley College.

  • Ana Barrera

    MARKETING DIRECTOR

    Ana brings over 18 years of proven expertise in property management, tenant relations, and strategic marketing, making her an invaluable asset to our real estate team. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Advertising from San Jose State University, she blends creative insight with operational precision.

    Throughout her career, Ana has taken on key leadership roles in managing multi-tenant commercial properties, overseeing day-to-day operations, leasing support, and financial planning, and asset management. Her deep understanding of asset management is complemented by her hands-on approach to in-house marketing and branding, helping to elevate property visibility and tenant retention.

    Ana's background also includes successfully assisting in marketing campaigns for nonprofit organizations and demonstrating her versatility and passion for impactful, community-oriented work. Known for her strong vendor negotiation skills, she consistently reduces operating costs while maintaining service excellence.

    Her integrated approach to management, marketing, and leasing allows her to maximize property performance and deliver exceptional results for owners, investors, and tenants alike.

  • Vicky Hernandez

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT-BOOKKEEPING

    Vicky plays a vital role in the financial and operational success of our real estate team. She specializes in record-keeping, accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and steady cash flow across our portfolio.

    With a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills, Vicky supports the day-to-day accounting functions that keep our properties running efficiently. She also provides crucial assistance in tenant relations and asset management, helping to maintain clear communication and coordination between tenants, vendors, and property managers.

    Her reliability, professionalism, and cross-functional support make her an indispensable part of our real estate operations. Vicky is currently continuing her education at San Jose City College.
